Juniors took their second SAT Diagnostic test this week, to determine what content areas they need to improve on. After a long and intensive semester indoors, the juniors rewarded themselves for completing their SAT prep program with a trip to Washington Square Park. Using their own materials, scholars were asked to create work inspired by their experience or interaction at the park that could fulfill a portfolio requirement as a prospective college applicant. Portfolio requirements and criteria can be very specific for each college application and vary between type of artwork or medium. Examples of requirements can include things such as a landscape, figure drawing, photograph, sculpture, a still-life painting, a performance, or questions around a conceptual meaning in your work.
