The Parsons Scholars Program is a 2 ½ year college and career access program that centers people of color in the exploration of art and design. On Saturdays and during summers, high school students from NYC public schools explore their commitment to art and design as a tool for self expression, self discovery, social justice, and as college and career paths.

From 10th through 12th grade, this pre-college scholarship covers the cost of seven studio courses in the Parsons Pre-College Academy and Summer Intensive Studies programs, six transferable college credits, art supplies, transportation to all programming, meals, field trips, guest speaker visits, SAT prep, and college guidance. All PSP programming centers the identities of people of color from low income backgrounds and builds on the rich legacy of people of color in the arts.

Parsons Scholars are an integral part of a community of staff, faculty, youth advocates, and undergraduate mentors. This unique structure is a leading national model for college and career access and racial justice in art and design across communities of educators, artists, designers, and higher education institutions.
