The Parsons Scholars Program provides youth from under-represented backgrounds the opportunity to explore art & design in a college environment.
Accepted students receive college credit while preparing for the college admissions process at no cost to them. (Note: this is a pre-college scholarship, and not a college scholarship.) For more information, download our information sheet here.
The Parsons Scholars Program is a college access program for NYC public high school students who are passionate about pursuing higher education in art and design. Parsons Scholars dedicate their Saturdays and summers to studio coursework and workshops which expose them to a range of exciting art and design careers and majors.

Open Studios offers the greater Parsons community the opportunity to see the work created by the pre-college students, including our Scholars’ work. It’s a great way to celebrate and experience their hard work as they grow from semester to semester. Spring Open Studios is especially significant for the Sophomore Scholars since it’s their first semester in the program. “The Sophomore Scholars successfully completed their first semester at Parsons today, and completed gorgeous work from both their Foundation Drawing and Painting class, as well as their Foundation Design class”, states Mentor, Dirm.
