The Parsons Scholars Program provides youth from under-represented backgrounds the opportunity to explore art & design in a college environment.

Accepted students receive college credit while preparing for the college admissions process at no cost to them. (Note: this is a pre-college scholarship, and not a college scholarship.) For more information, download our information sheet here.

The Parsons Scholars Program is a college access program for NYC public high school students who are passionate about pursuing higher education in art and design. Parsons Scholars dedicate their Saturdays and summers to studio coursework and workshops which expose them to a range of exciting art and design careers and majors.

Nadia Williams, Program Director

Nadia has worked in a wide range of NYC public schools as a teaching artist and holds a certificate in College Access and Success Counseling from the Options Institute. She coordinated 3 cohorts of Parsons Scholars through their high school graduation over a span of 5 years and feels fortunate to continue to work closely with students over a meaningful period of time as Program Director. Nadia is a graduate of the Parsons BFA Fashion Design department who began her career designing for Gap Kids, and freelancing for companies such as Old Navy and Banana Republic.
