The Parsons Scholars Program provides youth from under-represented backgrounds the opportunity to explore art & design in a college environment.
Accepted students receive college credit while preparing for the college admissions process at no cost to them. (Note: this is a pre-college scholarship, and not a college scholarship.) For more information, download our information sheet here.
The Parsons Scholars Program is a college access program for NYC public high school students who are passionate about pursuing higher education in art and design. Parsons Scholars dedicate their Saturdays and summers to studio coursework and workshops which expose them to a range of exciting art and design careers and majors.

This July, 22 rising seniors in high school took Summer Intensive Studies for college credit. The program ran June 30 – July 24, and the students were in class from 9am to 4pm, Monday – Friday, for four weeks. Upon completion of this course, students had earned four college credits! This course exposes the students to actual college experiences and they all met friends from all of the world in their classes this summer. Yang and Nicole both took Painting and Drawing. Ligardy took an Illustration course. Sundiata at the open studios with his mom. Alexa enjoyed learning from faculty Leah Hayes in the Illustration course. Going to school in summer is fun at Parsons!
