The Parsons Scholars Program provides youth from under-represented backgrounds the opportunity to explore art & design in a college environment.

Accepted students receive college credit while preparing for the college admissions process at no cost to them. (Note: this is a pre-college scholarship, and not a college scholarship.) For more information, download our information sheet here.

The Parsons Scholars Program is a college access program for NYC public high school students who are passionate about pursuing higher education in art and design. Parsons Scholars dedicate their Saturdays and summers to studio coursework and workshops which expose them to a range of exciting art and design careers and majors.

Practice Makes Perfect: The End of SAT Prep

Acing the SAT starts with practicing test taking skills, and so the juniors have been diligently preparing. Juniors took their second SAT Diagnostic test this week, to determine what content areas they need to improve on. After a long and intensive semester indoors, the juniors rewarded themselves for completing their SAT prep program with a trip to Washington Square Park. Using their own materials, scholars were asked to create work inspired by their experience or interaction at the park that could fulfill a portfolio requirement as a prospective college applicant.
