Open Studio and Parsons Paris Scholarship Recipients

On April 27th, the scholars had their annual Open Studio event where they showcase their work from the semester for their family, friends and other scholars. The scholars and their guests were able to enjoy works from various classes such as 3D, Architecture, Digital Photography, Fashion, Painting and more . This event was especially exciting because it marked the end of the first year in the Parsons Scholars Program for our new sophomore scholars. Soon, our current seniors will be having their work showcased at the Parsons Festival in a few weeks before we wish them farewell as they graduate from the program.

Along with the excitement of seeing the work of our talented scholars, that afternoon, we learned who the recipients of the Anna Toonk Paris Scholarship are, which is a scholarship awarded to a select few applicants from the Parsons  Scholars Program including 3 current scholars in the program and 3 alumni. From our current scholars, the recipients are Maryia Trukhan, Naiky Paradis and Midori Buntin. And from our alumni, the recipients are Saradyn Sanon, Jessy Jo Gomez and myself, Alexandria Fields. The announcement was very emotional and tears were shed. We are all super excited to be traveling to Paris together this summer and we will be sure to make the most of our experiences, learn as much as we can, serve as advocates of PSP and most importantly, have fun!
